Canon/Toshiba
In 2016 Toshiba Medical Systems was acquired by Canon and changed name to Canon Medical Systems. The Canon ultrasound systems deliver excellent image quality by reducing noise and improving visualization. The product families cover all ranges, satisfying both high-end needs and more budget-oriented projects.
The Aplio i-series is the flagship product family, covering all high-end applications, in both general radiology and OB/GYN, as well as cardiology. The i-series product range includes i900 with focus on cardio-vascular applications, i800 and i700 with focus on shared services and high-performance general radiology.
The Aplio 300/400/500 Platinum series is the predecessor of the i-series, delivering high-end performance in all clinical areas. The Platinum models were discontinued in 2018, but are still very popular, due to their reliability and crisp 2D imaging, making these systems a true “workhorse”.
The portable ultrasound solution from Canon is the Viamo. It is an ultra-compact system, that combines very good imaging technologies and intuitiveness of a smart device. The systems provide a full spectrum solution, that makes it possible to manage a wide range of exams and data efficiently.
